Editorial policy
Last updated 10 September 2026
These are the standards every article on BestAnswers is written against.
What we aim for
- Answer the reader's actual question early, in plain language.
- Explain how something works and which factors change the answer, rather than issuing a verdict.
- Be specific about mechanisms and trade-offs, and honest about what varies by person, product or jurisdiction.
What we do not publish
- Invented facts. No statistics, percentages, prices, dates, survey results or study findings, and no "experts say" attributions. We do not conduct original research, so we do not present figures as though we had.
- Advice. Nothing here tells you what to do about your own medical, legal, financial or insurance situation. That requires a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
- Recommendations or rankings of specific companies, clinics, providers, retailers or product lines.
- Testimonials, reviews, quotes or case studies, since we have no customers or interviewees to draw them from.
- Guarantees or promises of outcomes, savings, approval or eligibility.
- Urgency and sales pressure. There is nothing to buy here, so there is no reason to rush you.
Accuracy and corrections
General explainers can still be wrong, go out of date, or be misleading through omission. If you find something inaccurate, email contact@bestanswers.app with the page address and what you believe is incorrect. We review every report. Where a correction is warranted we amend the article and update its revision date; where an article cannot be fixed we remove it. We do not quietly rewrite a page to erase a substantive error.
Independence
We accept no payment, product, hospitality or other consideration in exchange for coverage, and we run no advertising or affiliate links. No third party reviews our articles before publication.
Use of AI
Our articles are drafted with AI language models against the standards above. See About for what that means in practice and where it falls short.
